These are repetitive and while the animal changes, the button actions do not.

One part of the game that was clearly a missed opportunity is the crafting system. The downside is that these items can only be crafted during specific parts of the game. If they could have expanded on the crafting system and allowed for more exploration, this could have been a much more believable survival game. To say the graphics are poor in Man vs Wild would be an understatement. The environments, while varied, are poorly designed. The animals might be the worst part of the game as they look low-poly, even plastic looking.

The boar I came across has no eyes and looked straight out of Diablo game. The alligator I fought in the Everglades looked more like an inflatable pool toy rather than a reptile hell bent on eating me. The music got so repetitive at one point, I tried to head to the settings to turn it off. However low and behold, there was no option to do so. The audio is flat and non-engaging.
